“On the physics in Clifford space: an extra
structure of spacetime”
Abstract:
Starting
from the geometric calculus based on Clifford algebra, I will present the idea
that physical quantities are Clifford aggregates ('polyvectors'),
and that spacetime should be replaced by
16-dimensional Clifford space. The latter space can provide a realization of
the Kaluza-Klein unification of fundamental
interactions. I will introduce the basic concepts related to flat and curved
Clifford space, and discuss the generalized Dirac
equation which involves polyvector valued fields.
Yang-Mills gauge fields naturally occur in such approach as parts of the
generalized spin connection.
